Importance of Love
Tunnel of Love is an Album that was released after Bruce's divorce. The album in general covers many aspects of love and how people fall in love. However it adds a little bit more in each song about how people who fall in love can fall apart. The importance of love in all forms can really change a person. Bruce has made many many songs about love but there are a few in particular in this album that have made an impact on me.
"Ain't Got You", "Tunnel of Love""Ain't Got You" was a song specifically about how a man had almost everying that he could buy with money except love. People can think that with money can come an easy partner but nothing can buy what love is supposed to be like. In this song he sings about how without that love, that companion, life isnt complete without someone to love. "Tunnel of Love" on the other hand sings about how when you have someone and you feel right it can all be taken away or broken."But the house is haunted and the ride gets rough," however the last line says that those rough rides or shaky times you have to power through to really find and fight for love.

How Relationships Change in Adulthood. In this article there were several topics that broadly covered how relationships develop over time. To me the relationships that I have built are the kids who I plan to stay close to for the rest of my life. This article discusses how as we get older we spread away from the types of relationships we had when we were younger and how we develop new friends as time goes on. However I feel that the people who I actually consider my friends are those who have stuck with me in my rough times. My best friends are the ones who dont pressure me to fit in, encourage me to stand out and be an individual. They understand when I'm feeling down and even if they are across the country from where I am they are always there. No matter how far away we go all of the three of us are always doing our best to stay in touch. These friends where the ones who showed me what it truely means to be a friend. Not a connection or a social networking but more like family. Those who care and understand everything the others go through. "Walk Like a Man""Walk Like a Man" hits me extremely hard. To me Bruce sang about his mother. How throughout his life he would follow her lead and try to do his best to be a man. This hits me in particular because right now I am trying my hardest to grow up and be someone who I can be proud of. My mother had been the person making all the decisions for my and I would take it for granted. Lately I have started to walk like a man because I am taking my own steps to being my own individual, being self-reliant. My mother has always being showing me the proper path to walk and for the longest time I refused to walk it, to hold onto the days of my youth and never grow up. However Bruce brings to reality the concept that our mothers wont be there forever and how "I didn't thin there'd be so many steps I'd have to learn on my own."
