How To Reach Out
"Jersey Boys" is an article that tells the story of a major fan of Bruce Springsteen. This fan is governor Chris Christie. Through the Governor's story we get ideas about how even without having to fully know the person you can build a relationship just by what or how they are expressing themselves. Christie has gone to almost every one of Bruce's concerts and has even brought his children to them. The article specifically describes how Christie dances and truely enjoys being in the presence of Bruce and his music; how he lets himself emotionally dive into feelings and messages of the songs while not caring what others around him may think. The quote "No on is beyond the reach of Bruce!" seemingly appeared just as a joke or a mockery of Mitt Romney however I feel how important that line is now. Artists and politicians are discussed a lot in this article because they have so many things in common they just have different approaches.
Politicians Path Politicians are in may ways actors. Thier "Job" is to be the voice of the people but many just voice what the people want to hear. Its hard for a politician to get elected or re-elected if they don't do whatever the people want. Even after they win the election its almost impossible to get anything done. When politicians run they basically have to put a label on themselves, "Democratic" or "Republican" so that they get people to vote for them. its hard to appeal to the other perspective.

Performers PathMusicians have a much easier time appealing to the viewers. With music you are able to draw people in better, even if the message is about something horrible or even depressing the sound alone can reach out to people and with repetition the message will eventually get through or draw attention. Music is also something that bonds people. It creates memories that can stay with you forever, remembering every time you hear the song. People are always able to start listening to music and I agree that Bruce Springsteen has used music for years to bring about attention to specific matters that everyone should know about.
