Bruce's Album "The River" tells many different stories and I don't have an understanding for each one but there were several messages that did stick. When talking about relationships almost every one is different in some way. However there are things that idealistic but consistent in many relationships. In "The Ties That Bind Us" the lyrics tell a story of a women who seems scared to love and appears to push away everyone else. However the "refrain" or "chorus" spells out how relationships make that impossible. When you create memories the feelings of joy or sadness create a bond; those bond are the "ties that bind us". Memories and experiences make an impact on each decision, every thought you make for the rest of your life. "Out in the Street" was a song that really clicked with me because it talked about the part of life and love that is just walking around in the streets looking for a good time; for someone else to have a good time with. Doing what you want and enjoying doing it. "Hungry Heart" is a song that really summed up what I am going through right now. I feel the urge to have a relationship, someone I can spend some time and enjoy being around. It also touches on the fear that happens when you DO find someone; the fear of what happens next and how you can do things that make you split up in the end; how some people do everything possible to sever the bonds. The song "Fade Away" then tells the story of how painful it is after the breakup and how you wish things could go back to the way they were. How you can be haunted by past and those memories or bonds that had bound you previously. The next two songs that drew my attention were "The River", and "Stolen Car" because they all had the same message about the difference in love as you get older. "The River" talks about running away and enjoying love at a young age. Free and idealistically living life until reality hit when "Mary" got pregnant. How they got married and had to give up on the previous form of love they had to live and love for the future rather than in the moment. The pains of the past being the past. "Stolen Car" describes the pain of losing the person who you thought you could spend the rest of your life with. How the fear of being torn apart was there the entire time but with the hope that love would grow stronger as they got older. The saddening tone and mood of the song really helps give an understanding of how painful it is to break the bonds or ties that come with love. Its easier at a young age to move on and hope for something new but as you age the love grows deeper. The last song of the album really puts all of life into perspective. "Wreck on the Highway" truly sings about how quickly the life we live, the people we love and those who love us can all be "wrecked". Even through all the pains that happen in life there needs to be a time where you are grateful for what you do have. Be grateful for the bonds you have made and ties that hold us to this beautiful Earth.

Homegrown"Homegrown" by Zac Brown Ban is one of my favorite uplifting songs. I love the song because it reminds me of what I am grateful for. "The good friends that live down the street", "here in a small town where it feels like home". I live in my own small neighborhood with my entire family here. I have everything I need, and I shouldn't need anything more. "Its the weight you carry from the things you think you wont", is one line that sticks because I carry more problems and knowledge than I need because I take on the things that I shouldn't have to just because I feel I can.

Start a Fire"Start a Fire" is a song the encompasses most of the similar messages of Bruce's Songs in the aspect of falling in love. Some of these points would be "Just lose control and let you body give in to the beat of your heart" in relation to living in the moment and not looking back. or "Taking chances in the back of your car." These are the carefree aspects of BEING in love and wanting it to just "last forever". It brings up thoughts about what love is vs just sexual desires.

American Country Love Song"American Country Love Song" is a song that tells the story about what it is like to go out and just search the town for someone to love. What it's like to be in love and to live life with a passion. To reach out to everyone who's trying to find their love. It gives me this urge to go out with my friends and try to make other friends. To listen to the music I love. The song itself is very energizing and reminds me specifically of what it would be like to have someone I could truly fall for. "In every town, in every place, there's a boy who's trying to take a chance and dance and find a way to run away with her heart." This line describes how I personally feel about FINDING love and how I wish I could make someone else happy.
